If I polish my front trim pieces, like the I piece do I have to coat it with any thing? thanks

You dont have to but you will end up doing yearly maintenance to keep them shiny.  I stripped off the adonizing off mine & polished them up & left them natural.   i just give them a nice polish with metal polish once a year.... Iknow others that have clear coated them with good results as well...
