Here is my firewall. The vac line currently comes out through a hole just above the A/C "thingy". This is where it was when i took the car apart.

What is the hole next to it for? It did have a choke cable in it. These dont have a manual choke do they?????????????

Or this????????

hi Roger ,  the vacume line for the A/C goes through that bigger hole next to the water valve & the hole its running through at the moment , a gromet going in there from the  in side out !

Thamks for the reply  :2thumbs:

So what you are saying is ive done it wrong! Thought so!

Do you know what this grommet looks like? I dont have one. I assume you mean for the A/C line? So what goes in the other smaller hole?

While fitting the sealing strip and looking at the cutout, i noticed something different. The hood on my car is a replacement secondhand one due to bad rust on the original. However, this plate is missing on the new one, and indeed, on all the ones on the internet!

I assume is a reinforcing plate for the bumpstop. Any ideas???

I will probably cut the old ones off the old hood, paint and bond to the current hood.

HOOD bumper plate if I remember right.  LEON.

Does nobody know about this?

And my latest mistake - maybe?

This was the braket holding the coil. It looked very "mopar" and was located on the fender under the washer resevoir.  Indeed the earth screw is the same as the ones on the firewall.

But all the cars ive seen have the coil on the intake.

Any ideas? Or do i junk it and buy the right one?

A/C pipe braket restored, replated and re-rubbered.
Are you sure about that A/C bracket?  It doesn't look like the other ones in the other pictures or mine?  I researched long and hard to get the correct one and it does'nt wrap around like the one you have in your picture.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Im never sure!!! I was basing it on the fact that a, it was fitted to the car and b, this pic, though on closer examination it looks slightly different or folded different.

Do you have a close up pic of yours?

I think i do have the right bracket, its just not folded the right way. The horizontal bit should be upright and the top bit folded down. (i hope)

Hi. Just to help out and not be critical, I'm pretty sure the metal a/c line in this picture should be painted black from the factory.

First, the car and work is stunning. :drool5:
2nd, people could spend all day saying this should be this or that so don't let it get to you.  My car is way off to many I'm sure.  But one thing I did try to get right was the hose bracket for a A/C car.  One of our members here that repros parts and is a detail freak showed me one on ebay that was correct for a 69 car with A/C so I bought it for 10.00.
Mine is used for the heater hoses as I don't have the A/c lines, the screw is wrong, that's on my hit list.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.
