Just bought a 67 belvedere wagon. The back glass is stuck half way up. It's an electric window. You can't open the back door without the glass all the way down. Anyone know how to manually pull it down?

Thanks

You have to remove the electric motor from the regulator to manually push the glass down.  Does the panel come off the inner portion of the tailgate to gain access?  Could be just the switch or wiring? Try to test for power and ground close to the tailgate.  If you have no access take a hammer or chunk of wood and smack the tailgate near the motor area...could be stuck.  Used to have to cut a hole in the late 70's Bronco tailgate when the window was stuck.  :eek2:

Thanks for the info.
The guy I bought if from said it was broke half way down. I just put a battery in it and it went down fine. It stopped halfway up because it was binding on the rubber gasket. I straightened it out and it works fine. Must be my lucky day.......

Hey, just picked up a 69 Town & Country, simular problem.  I took off the inner pannels (decor and inner pannle) and cleaned the tracks w/wd40 ect,  then lubes all moving parts with white lithium grease.  I had someone run it up and down as I lubed it.  Within 5 minutes it was running smooth.  Good luck, pics?
