Plugging along on the disassembly of my 72 charger.  Looking for trunk lid & fenders.  From what I understand, as far as the trunk lid, 71 had the cutouts, 72 did not,and the 73-74 trunk lid is different.  Is this correct?
Are fenders between 72 and 73 the same?  Does SE or not SE matter?
While I'm at it - same questions for the hood?

(apologies if this has been answered 800 times before...I did not find anything in searching - though I will admit my search terms could have been off)

Thank you.
Peter

fenders... fisically bolst and match on rest of exterior body parts, but they are not the same. You can make them fit though. Diff are on wheel opening cut ( higher on 73 ), radiator core support face, and area where front valence shield is so the front splash shield. One of the bolts is mismatched too with inner fender.

hood... will fit, however somebody posted there is a SMALL diff on front inner reinforcement section, with a cut on 71/72s to propperly fit and don't meet with a bumper brace with fender. Nothing to worry really.

Trunk lid will fit and match PERFECTLY, just a diff as far I know on cilinder area, since 71/72s use a clip and 73/74 use a BIG nut, so inner reinforcement is bigger and with a bigger cut to get acces to cilinder fitment on 73/74.

71 trunk lid , yes is true, they have a cut out on lower reinfrocement to fit the rear wing.

Hi Peter, my 72 SE's original and untouched and the trunk lid does have the cut-outs for installing the wing. Seems like some 72's have the cut-outs and some don't. Rgds,

Thank you for this information.  This will help me in my hunt for parts.
Life would be easier if the mice had not ruined the car I parked back in 1991.
