My shifter light in my 69 stays on all the time??/?   any body have any suggestions on a fix?

the shifter light should be connected to the headlight switch along witch the rest of the dash illumination.
Does all the other light go off the you turn it off?

yes they do and it was working that way to my knowledge

taken care of, i had plugged in wrong at the fuse panel
