OK so I installed one of the in my 68 Charger the other day and it acted very odd. At an idle the gauges all seem normal. When its reved up some they start to slowly fall backword. Is it the wrong one maybe?

Are they differant for the rallye gauges as opposed to the other style? (like a coronet or satellite etc.)

Here is a link to the one I got......:

PS I put the original back in and the gauges work perfect....I only replaced the reg. because I was in there anyway installing fresh recalibrated gauges from Mike .(lilwendel)

Something isn't right thats for sure.  I'd call or contact the company and tell them what happened.

Agreed. Sounds like the internals are not regulating the output voltage very well. Just for giggles...have you installed a grounding strap from the housing?

I made my own solid state reg following the instructions printed in am old Mopar Muscle....same crap started happening to my gauges after a few days of driving....pretty scary to see your oil psi creep down to 0 when on the highway.
I ripped it out & put the stock one back in & chalked it up to me screwing something up....I kinda like when all my gauges peg every now & then ;)

Chris,

I did the same thing for our chally since that limiter took a dump and fried the gauges.  So far everything seems to be working well.
