Rear Restoration Database?

seeing as how we have a grille resto thread can we start a rear resto thread as well? is that possible? :shruggy:

Like the other guys, I was thinking rear ends (axles). Rear bumper restoration...what is there to say? Take it to a chrome place? :shruggy:

are the colors on the dana accurate? Ill be researching this soon enough but if I can get the info now Ill be :D I need to know if the tubes and the center section will be the same color and where did you get the inspection markings?

why does it seem like these paint dubs and markings seem to appear on the rear ends more now then when the car came from the factory?i think guys like to make this stuff up as they go.before you know it the whole bottom of car will be painted 50 different colors and be correct. :Twocents:

That rear end is an 8-3/4. Dana 60 has the rear cover not the drop out.

I thought maybe it was a typo but thought it would be good info if you were unsure. I am also interested in how a Dana was painted as that is what is in my car.

That rear end is an 8-3/4. Dana 60 has the rear cover not the drop out.

No, Sorry to disappoint you but I did not make these Inspection marks up. Here's some Pics of the Actual Inspection marks as found on the rear at cleaning time.
