Fired my '73 for the first time today!

As the title says I finally got my '73 to start for the first time today.  A buddy of mine who restores cars stopped by and told me to charge the battery and turn the key.  Last time I tried that I thought the engine was seized or the starter was dead because it wouldnt even crank.  To my surprise after filling the bowl with gas she sparked right up!  Only issue we found was the 3rd cylinder back on the left side of the engine from the drivers seat was not firing, but I believe a good tune-up should fix that issue?  The brakes go to the floor but I believe theres a line broke.  I'm not going to lie hearing that 318 run with glass packs definately made me happy.

These are pretty bad, they were taken with my phone.













Basically its a 73 se with a 318.  The body is solid, its a automatic not sure on which trans it has I havnt ran the fender tag yet.  The car has 87,000 actual miles, I have the origional owners manual and the badge from the dealership it was purchased from.  Only issues I found so far is the brakes dont work, the headlight mount on one side is rotted out, theres some wiring bugs to work out, and it needs the typical brakes, pads, ball joints ect.

The plan is to have it on the road next month.

For the wiring issues look under the steering column

You will likely find the main plug the thick red wire burned...

Next look under the drivers feet area between the Dimmer switch and the trans tunnel. 

I cannot wait to fire mine up (hopefully this summer)

I downloaded a wiring diagram I'll probably rewire it the wiring is a hack job.

It's a real exciting feeling to fire something up.  Looks great, nice to have another old Charger on the road soon.
