Did anyone else here see these pics on Jalopnik? Pretty interesting and yet it seems staged; I mean why would they haul this thing around without at least a tarp over it? I have to think this car never made its way to any scrap yard.

There was a thread on Moparts several days ago that said the car was saved by Mopar Performance before being sent to the scrap yard.  It was one of two built...

 that's been making the rounds of the messege boards... i think the wheels are too big and the tape stripes are about the worst looking pieces of crap ever tacked on a car ever... most SEMA cars are horrendously ugly, ricer ugly fuginugly...  :-\
i was wondering how long it would be before it tuned up on dc.com...

It may very well have been given to them to modify with some kind of provision that it couldn't be resold.

Apparently the group at Chrysler that had it (product development maybe???) decided that they no longer needed the car, but Mopar Performance stepped in to save it.
