Very nice!

I'm assuming it didn't come with the HEMI. But if it's a real HEMI car you're looking at quite the collector item!! If I were you, and you managed to scrape up the original engine, I'd store it, preserve it, and I'd drop a new crate 426 HEMI in there, that way if you ever decide to sell it, you can pop that matching numbers baby in there and CA-CHING!  :2thumbs:

thank you all for the nice comments.  right now, to be honest, i am going to leave the car the way it looks; figuring "WHAT THE HELL!" and put in a 318/A518 from a 90 dodge truck in it and drive the piss out of it.  I have a set of 2007 dodge charger buckets already, slap in some carpet, a headliner, repair the roof and ensure the steering/suspension is squared away and just go for it.

I know she wont be the prettiest on the streets, nor the fastest, but with 3.23's in the back and a OD to boot, boy she will get good gas mileage!

I will keep everything from the car (has, what i believe to be the matching block and bellhousing) and some day may put her back to original glory as a 318/3 on the tree.  But, that is way off... i just want her to run first and enjoy her for what she is.  I have always stated that the 68 is my favorite year of 2nd gen charger, and this opportunity was just too good to pass up.  Thanks again to Chad.

Anyone have a trans crossmember they need to get rid of? :D

(the taillights are reversed, that will be fixed soon!)

thanks trav.. may be sending you some pm's for parts LOL!!!  Chad is helping out with a new pass door, hood, and decklid, so the rest is stuff i can get from AMD when the time comes to replace it.  interior stuff has put me in a void though as i have absolutely nothing for 2nd gen's. (methinks my mopar parts inventory is going to get even bigger now oh boy!) so you will be seeing put up want ads in the future.

I'm sure you know this but if you are going to want stock interior parts be prepared to pay through the nose for junk. IMHO this car would be the perfect candidate for a custom interior. Now if it were an R/T or some really rare/odd combination you might feel obligated to go back to stock but on this thing I'd say the sky's the limit.

It's a 318 with a column shift 3-speed. I'd say that rates as rare BUT it's also yellow with a black top and gold interior.

Neat car Jamey!

Rare but probably not the kind of rare that makes people feel obligated to take it back to stock.

...and another '68 will be brought back! Congratulations! You truly own one of the best.  :yesnod:

And I recognize that handwriting also. I've attached what Wayne had sent my cars previous owner over 18 years ago. Cool stuff.   :coolgleamA:
