I had a 74 mustang and had to bust through a thin part on the collar to release a clip. It was a long time ago and the correct way. It was like a thin flashing. I am not near a manual at the moment to check. Do an internet search of go to a Ferd site.

can't you just punch a hole in it with a screwdriver and turn? :smilielol:

Anyway, good luck with it.... I'm sure you can find a Ford forum to ask real Ford guys.  :2thumbs:

The key & tumblers, or the switch?

The switch is a rectangular thing halfway down the column, there's a push rod going from there up to the tumbler. Drop the column down from the dash & you should be able to see it. Usually two bolts hold it to the colyumn.

The key & tumblers require removing the steering wheel & turn signal switch. I'm not sure beyond that point how to get it apart without damaging stuff.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

You jack up the radiator cap and drive a Dodge Charger underneath it.  :D
