K frame swap necessary?

When switching from a 318 to a 440 does the K frame have to be swapped, or are 318 and 440 K frames the same?

change began on 73 and laters B bodies ( earlier on C bodies ). Rest are the same just need the propper engine mount.

need to upgrade T bars and sway bar

Yeah, they've covered it. 


You will hear people saying both ways on this question, but it's because the answer was different depending on the model-year.  Anything before 1973 is the same K-frame for all the V8 (wedge) motors from 318-440. 

Just the motor mounts (small bolt on items - yes, they are being repro'd cheaply) were different between the SB and BB wedges.
