Thanks wing! Hey, sorry for being an ass to you dude, it was uncalled for.. The wheels will be replaced, they are extremely pitted, but then again, when we pulled off the old tires, they had a date stampe on them, it is Febuary 17,1987. I guess that is when they were made..What is cool is that my mom's bithday is Febuary 16, 1966 and the engine block was cast Febuary 15, 1966..

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

BIRD67

Lol, thanks guys! It isn't too bad for a Peg Leg, but one wheel burnouts are dumb..

I'll bet your neighbors really appreciate that :-\.  I hate to be a downer, but not cool in a subdivision dude.

When I was a kid, a buddy did one in front of my house.....needless to say, next morning I was out scrubbing the frigging concrete street with a wire brush. :eek2:

Try to find a vacant parking lot (like your 3rd picture).  :Twocents:

Here is one of my old piles of $hit. 72 fury. It done got derbied.

I'm smarter than I act, But I don't act smarter than I am.

FLG

Nice stripes  :2thumbs:

On that note with tuffy, i do agree. I wouldnt do one on my block and i live in Brooklyn. I go to the industrial streets or under the expressway.

BIRD67

My neighbors don't mind, hell, we let our neighbor across the street do a burnout in it! Besides, we live on a dead end and there are only like 4 houses..

Yep....your Firebird sure SOUNDS TOUGH  ....it even LOOKS TOUGH :yesnod:..... BUT.....

I've seen many 6 cylinder Dusters spin one tire exactly like that. :scratchchin: - Not impressive.  :eek2:

.....and its really not hard to lay rubber when making a right turn and (starting on a dirt patch) like that.  Sorry, I'm just being honest. ::)

Before you bust balls, keep in mind my car probably doesn't lay more rubber than yours, but I wouldn't know because #1) .... I'm not trying,  and #2)....I'm not posting vidoes of it either. :D

FLG

Dont forget...open rear means that 1 tire spins twice as fast  :nana:

Anyways, sounds good, looks good  :2thumbs:

Now get a posi or make him do a left hand turn and get a little drifting action  :D

BIRD67

Okay, next week we are having the rear end changed.. It is getting an Eaton Posi and a set of 3.73 Rear Gears.. As I said, my cousin overreacted while taping that video..

UPDATE: 3/25/09.. The Eaton 3.73 gears came in today, the Eaton Posi unit (Or whatever the F*ck you want to call it) was already at the shop.., We dropped the car off at the shop at 8:30 AM EST today, and if everything goes smoothly, then it should be done today.. We tried some 275 60's on the car (tires, for the clueless) they fit very well and look badass, but everytime we go over a bump they rub the fenderwells, not to worry though, we have a set of Gabriel Hi-Jackers in rear so it shouldn't be a problem..

As for wheels, right now it has a set of 15x7 Cragar S/S wheels that are mildly pitted, they are date stamped 2/17/87, so they are pretty old.. What do you think would look best on the car, Some Pontiac Rallye II's, ANother set of Cragar S/S' mabe 15x 10 in the rear? I need some Ideas, we are going for a nice modified look, but none of that dub Sh*t.. Anyways, I would love to hear your opinions.. Thanks!
