the one with the side extension is E body and 71/72 B body.

73/74s have an extra bracket separated from the assembly what substitutes that one, firestone collectibles is the right one

E5 Charger

Nacho, I couldn't find the photo I posted before, probably on my old computer. I found a different one of the battery bracket on my 74. Is this what you are looking for?

Tilar

I noticed that bolt hole where that bracket is bolted down. I ordered a tray and hold down, and from the pic I can probably make that short bracket easy enough.

On a side note, I stuck a battery in it, Put some oil down the cylinders and spun it over a few times to get the cylinders lubed up. Hooked up a small 1 gallon tank to the fuel pump and after I changed out the carburetor because the throttle shaft was froze closed    :brickwall: ... After I did that it fired right up....  ;D

Here a pic out of a 74 Parts Catalog, if you need anyparts #s let me know...

Nacho-RT74

No Bill sorry, I have to be disagree on this with you... Parst catalog shows a very diff one on 73/74 B bodies without the sided attached bracket like 268RTs4ME posted

the one you posted is 71/72 Bs and all E bodies ( of course, being inner fenders are the same )

After looking at the diagram above, I dis-agree with myself as well.  :brickwall:
I forgot all about the seperate bracket on the later cars. :slap: and I used to own one ( although it was only for a little while )

Tilar

I ordered the one that Nacho originally said was right. I haven't been around as long as some of you, but I have been around long enough to know that Nacho is hard to beat when it comes to 3rd Generation Chargers.

Thanks Guys.
