We are all car guys right! Most of us love our shop time so I thought I would post a link to the jeep web site my little brother hangs out at. Keep in mind while reading this that Ryan has never taken an auto related class of any sort, he has never taken a welding or fabricating class of any sort either. This is his first project ever.

All of his mechanical and welding skills he has learned from watching me. Most of the fab skills are self-taught. He does have an engineering degree and is a civil engineer.

Keep in mind that he did absolutely everything (with the exception of paint) himself including the axle housing narrowing.

A buddy of mine did the paint and Dan said it is hard to believe he did that caliber of bodywork with no training or experience. It took very little body prep by Dan to get it in paint.

I give Ryan all kinds of credit on this project because he wants to do as much as possible himself. I offered to set up his diff. gears and he said no. He wanted to do it and if it doesn't work he'll consider it a lesson learned. I did however lend him tools whenever needed.

BK auto Thomas; Eat your hart out! You claim to have years of experience and mad skills. What would you consider this?

Thanks for the complements; I will be sure to pass them on to Ryan.

I figured scanning threw 30 pages of pics would be gravy after seeing all of the 100+ page threads on this site.

If you have the time to read the posts with the pics of his jeep he pretty much explains how he did everything.

I've seen that thread before. The jeep has come a lot farther than it was last time I saw it...

When did you make it over here Stretchy?

Shortly after DCF linked the thread about the BK charger.

Thanks, he does have skills but I attribute most of it to being extraordinarily stubborn.

He's a lot like me I guess.
