Just curious who has adapted a hydroboost on their chargers? I have wanted to run one for years. Interested in what kits are out there, or if it is possible to make my own kit.

  Thanks

it is definately possible to make your own system...    I am doing that currently...     seems Hydratech are owned by not pleasant people and wont sell anything out of their kits...     however making your own kit is not rocket science...     making a mounting block will be the most difficult part - even that isnt that bad - I currently have mine mounted to a stock master cylinder support bracket...    however I will be fabbing an aluminum block mount...      insert a correct length pushrod, hook up to your P/S pump....     presto.

Hi All

I have used one on a 1997 Chevy 1/2 ton 262ci using one like on www.mindstrain.com ( site is now removed)
He did has some on youtube, they have been removed too.
I will try to e-mail he to see why they have been removed and to see if I can post any of his info about his unit.

The unit is a 5 gallon bucket with sealing lid with 5 stainless steel plates about 4 x 6 inches.
Put i the back of the pickup.  It did help the gas mileage until it started the freeze, then I remove it for the winter.
I will be putting back it when the temps stays above 32 degrees.

smack booster has a great web site with a lot of good info
http://smacksboosters.110mb.com/BB_Smack.html
also check out him on youtube at http://www.youtube.com/user/EletrikRide

for one using cups see http://www.youtube.com/user/HHO4ALL
he is doing something different and it is looking for a small unit.

I have built several different type of hho gas units using pvc tubing.  They all got very hot after running them for over 30 minutes
Several using flat and some with cups.

I am trying to built and test dry cells both cup and flat plates

You need to study alot to understand it and be safe.

the unit are safe if you build they right

On older car you have to set the timing from about 8 BTDC to around top dead center to 2 degrees after TDC
Hydrogen gas burns faster then gas.

For safety do not store the hydrogen gas make as you need it.

Have fun and learn alot above HHO
Good Luck

I think hes talking about hydrogen generators... He mis-read what you wanted. I've thought of doing one as well, but it also will be junkyard parts.

Well, I got the "universal kit" from Classic Performance(?).  I'll need a different fitting on the pushrod link to the brake assembly (mine's a '74 Charger).  I haven't done anything other than hold it up to the general area.  It looks like I can use some of the same mounting holes but I'll know later.

Let everyone know how your install goes.
