Who here has 4-wheel power disc brakes, and what MC are you using?

I'm not happy with the braking feel on my 4-wheel disc brake setup. I'm using the MP disc brake master cylinder with the factory bendix booster (and their kit). I'm fairly certain that I have the pushrod installed correctly (after talking with MP Brakes tech) and I don't think I have air in the system as the brakes are very firm.

The problem is the pedal feel - there is no linear progression. The pedal has no stopping power until it's almost to the floor, then I get great braking. Very firm, but VERY fast.

I'm wondering if others have tired different MC combinations on their 4 wheel setups and could share their experiecnes.

Thanks!

I am using the SSB GM style with a camaro self adjusting  proportioning valve and an electric vacuum pump.

works great.

Step #1 is make sure that the front/rear native bias (independent of the prop valve) is good.  If there is trouble here then it needs to be fixed at the caliper sizes.  If you bought a commercial 4-wheel kit then they should not have goofed up anything here.

Assuming that's all good, then you probably need a smaller MC piston size.  It sounds like your current setup is a MC size that's too large.

If it's not really hitting the wheels with braking pressure until too far down in the pedal's swing, you can usually fix that at the pushrod.  (Assuming that there is full fluid & no air in the lines.  And no trouble at the calipers/pads/rotors).    But I would not monkey with that until after I had the MC size I wanted first.
