Chris, You got a copy of this?  Never read it before...

BrianShaughnessy

I got a 24x30 of that hanging in the office courtesy of 6pkrunner.
Black Betty:  1969 Charger R/T - X9 440 six pack, TKO600 5 speed, 3.73 Dana 60.
Sinnamon:  1969 Charger R/T - T5 440, 727, 3.23 8 3/4 high school sweetheart.

Yep I do :)

Did a quick scan so you can read the wording.

I also have what is believed to be the R6 R/T that was used in this ad and others in my registry.  I have a pic of the tag only # 100039

Just curious but has anyone had a lower serial number for a charger than the 100039? Or is that the first one? Isn't that car currently under going  a restoration?

Just 6T9 CHGR

Thats my first and only double digit VIN.
Next closest I have is 100946 which was just a shell on ebay a while back.

I dont know who owns it or if its being restores.....hopefuly it is! ;)

Its also the only car that has the Y91 "Show Car Finish" code on the tag

I thought the "440 cubes..." was pretty rare, but the "Watkins Glen Mother Warned Me" is much harder to come across. But it is out there. I got it the second chance I found it. The 1969 Daytona at Alabama Motor Speedway is also rare. June 1969 program only.

Ghoste

Is the Watkins Glen one legit?   Except for the guy and the wording, everything else in that photo is EXACTLY the same as the female version.

Charger Aficionado

  It's got some weird wording...

Ghoste

Hey 6pk, I have another version of that Canadian "Formula 69" ad that features that Canadian Dodge Fever girl in it.

6pkrunner

This one? Or another. Please post an image. If I don't have it I will either pay you in posters or cash to rent, not own it.

6pkrunner

Or the Dart version. I think that's all I have with her. If you have another I will rent it from you so I can capture it. It will be returned in the same shape it arrives in.

6pkrunner

Here's a pretty rare one I just rented from a guy in California. He got it back in the same shape it arrived in, plus a bonus. ;D

Ghoste

I'll scan them and show you.  One is basically like the ad you posted except that the girl is posed beside the car.  The other one is b&w.  I have copies repro'd on the wall in the garage so I need to dig out the originals.

6pkrunner

Maybe this???? Even if the text is different I am interested. There are 4 versions of "The Eternal Triangle" and many others have used the same image for different textual content. I am interested in all variations of the ads.

Ghoste

No, it's based on the Formula 69 ad.  I'll grab the repops and scan them.

Four versions of the Eternal Triangle?  Never knew that.  We'll have to compare more notes.

-You have more than just made my day!!!! Now I suppose you are going to make me wait are you???? ;D

Here's 3 of the triangle ads. I don't have the 4th prepped yet.

6pkrunner

And here's just one of many examples of the airbrushers at work. Notice how the runner's bumper becomes elastomeric when it became an available option. ;D

Ghoste

I won't make you wait on purpose but it looks like I will have to find the originals.  The ones I have in the garage I had blown up and they don't fit in my scanner.  I kind of forgot about that little detail.

6pkrunner

And the old 1971 T/A ad. A lot of people were chasing this car down. While there were a few mules at Chrysler for the 1971 version, the reports were that they were nowhere near completed cars. Whther this is true or not, I cannot say, but the 1971 yellow T/A...well have a peek.

And a 1970 T/A used in the black and white advertising campaign. Check all aspects of the car - wheel orientation, raindrops, etc. The airbrushers were good. No photochopping in those days.

Are these photocopier blow ups? Or something done at home with paintshop or such? A professional blow up is great. Tack marks, nail holes, etc are no problem.

Ghoste

Ghoste

Found them.  Okay, here is what I have now that the two are together.  Both are the same ad it's just that one is colour and the other is b&w.  My original colour is not original.  After I took it out of the envelope, I see it is a repro.  The b&w is original.  I scanned the colour one for you to see but I can't post it here yet.  I need to put it up at a host first.

6pkrunner

ARGGHHHH!!!!!!!

EDIT - check your PMs. I sent you my email addresses if you don't have a host server.

What are the deficiencies in the repo color version? Is it a painfully obvious copy? While its so very easy to make a black and white from a color the reverse is a bit trickier. ;D

Ghoste

Okay, here it is.  This is a very poor scan but I was trying to get it done quickly.  My copy is better than this.

6pkrunner

Wow!!! Nope ain't got that'a one!!! My Ken Adian supply is a tad remiss.

Ghoste

Well I'm in awe.  I won't count it as a snatched the pebble from your hand moment but I'm still impressed to have one you don't.

6pkrunner

Every once in a while Ghoste something will jump up and nail ya! ;D As with the Mopars we drive, never say never and never say "I've got them all."

Just 6T9 CHGR

Mike has been stumped!     ;) :o

Im sure you have the Lee Trevino ad and the "Show-Off" ad

Heres the Lee Trevino one....at least they could have airbrushed his band-aid!  ::)
Chris' '69 Charger R/T

Ghoste

And why are those taillights on in the daytime?
I have a reproduction of that ad but I'd sure like to find an original.

6pkrunner

I've got that one. There is also one with Lee and a 1971 Charger that I do not have. >:( ;D

Just 6T9 CHGR

Got the "Show off" as well?  Mike?  If not I can scan a quick copy.

I dont think the lights are on.....just a reflection

and a few others, while not hen's teeth aren't seen everywhere

Ghoste

That's three I don't have.  I think I have a different version of the second one and I've been looking for the Show Off one for twenty years without luck.

Just 6T9 CHGR

I like that R6 one with the recall wheels.....dont "recall" seeing that one! ;)
