3rd gen hinge noise

Have the doors off for painting. Hinges dont seam that worn . 85 k , miles. not much play. The hinges make a noise half way through opening. The door holder cam seems to suddenly snap over the follower. I have lubed and the roller is free to turn. Are the hinges shot ?
