Pinion Snubber Reinforcement Plate

Has anybody ever reinforced the plate on the bottom of the floor pan where the pinion snubber comes into contact with it? Is this required? I have never done this and have since sold my drag car which I put over 1000 drag strip passes on and do not recall ever having a problem. I thought I saw that somebody had done this and would prefer to do this while the car is still on the rotisserie. I plan on running an adjustable pinion snubber and expect the car to be able to run well into the 11's possibly 10's.

No worries as I will make my own plate but needed an idea of what to make it look like!

I did too until I noticed that the stock plate was all beat to rat shit! Better to do now than later and I have a nice chunk of 1/8 steel that has come in handy! I know  I will be hammering on this car hard so may as well cover all the bases.
