I put a new SS gas tank in my 69 Charger. I have a sending unit with a return vent line on it. I plugged it and do not want to use my 1/4 inch vent line at all. I am going to run a Carter elec. Fuel pump (on the rh frame rail just below the tank using the stock 3/8" fuel line. HOW do I vent the gas tank ?
My Charger comes with the fuel filler neck and a 1/4 inch vent line, which already goes into the tank. Any suggestions ?- Or a Schematic how it's done/vented? My filler neck has a vent tube-is this what I hook up to the vent line (1/4 inch) coming out of the sending unit ?

The 2nd line on the sender goes up to the engine compartment and connects to the fuel vapor separator as a return line if you are going to use one. The vent line on the fuel filler vents (i believe) into a frame rail.
Your stock fuel line should be 5/16" on a '69 unless someone already changed it or the car was a Hemi. The 440/Hemi sender was 3/8" though.

I am just going to PLUG the vent line (1/4 ") coming out of the sender and use the 3/8" fuel line in line with the Carter elec. pump to PUSH gas up to my dual 4V setup. I will use the existing venting done with the vent tube into the LH frame rail !

Should work - If the fuel tank gets sucked into the size of a toaster you can always try drilling a small hole in the fuel cap.  :icon_smile_big:
