Construction around the DoubleTree in Collinsville?

Does anyone in the Gateway area know how the Road Destruction around the DoubleTree in Collinsville might concern us?

I received a confirmation Email from the motel and it states, "Attention: Highway construction beginning June 4th. Please contact hotel for detour instructions"

I think 55 is clear from Collinsville into the track or at least not all tore up.

the main construction is from 270 to troy exit on 55-70. after troy going west on 70-55 it is clear all the way to the race track that is exit 4 granite city exit.so collinsville should be away from the construction. if you are comming from the west you wouldnt even get to the troy exit.

Just read where MoDot reports the Poplar St Bridge will be a mess this weekend. All you guys coming in from the west might want to consider an alternate river crossing.

I called the hotel and asked them about the message last week and they said that the exit had been closed earlier in the summer but not an issue now

news report tonight has the popular street bridge (70,64) will be 1 lane all weekend so if yer commin from the west, k.c. people take 270 north of st.louis across the river to 255 south to 70 that takes you right to collinsville. if you come up 44 from okla  or 55 from south mo. 270 south of stlouis to 255 north runs to 70 at collinsville. this will miss the mess.if you're not hittin the hotels, then when you hit 70 at collinsville go west on 70 to exit 4 hwy 203. thats about 5 miles to the track from collinsville.
