Okay so finally got to wondering who else on here plays games on XBox live, and if so what is the name you guys play under on there.

I just started playing stuff online here about a week ago so I'm a newbie to that arena.

Never got into Call of Duty.  Tried COD4 when it came out, and it was just too chaotic for me.

Danny, what's needed to set up live? How hard is it?

I set mine up with a wireless router up stairs here, and bought one of the wireless receivers for the Xbox which is downstairs. I went with a N router due to the distance from router to Xbox. Then you had to purchase an Xbox live card (one came with xbox when I just bought it in December). Then create a user name and passsword on xbox live and your ready to roll. Whole process of setting up an account took about 10 minutes tops. Xbox live cars are sold in 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, and 12 month time slots. I think the 12 month one was around $50 US. And there is a silver and a gold package, but i'm not sure what the differences are. I have a gold right now.

Oh and by the way, wireless is no good unless you have a really good router. so i strongly recommend a cord from the x-box to the router you get or have.

I have yet to have any problems with the wireless route as of yet, but I can see how it would not be as steady as a wired one would be.

I did not get it setup for wireless, I just plugged the cable into the back of the box from my wireless router.

last saterday i got a new xbox360.. my first one ended up dead with the ring of dead... but my son got old enough to play on the xbox so i got me a new one.. my screenname is; KINGJOOP

its 40 bucks a year I think for the account, but they give you a free account for a month if you have a @hotmail.com or @live.com eamil address.

I typically don't get on except for the weekends. Too much going on during the week. With work, and coaching some little league teams its a pretty busy schedule during the week.

My gamertag on X-Box Live is Sabre979 (pronounced Saber) you won't believe how many people mis pronounce my gamertag as Sab rae   I've been playing nothing but Call of Duty WAW and Call of Duty 4.  I was playing alot of GTAIV, and prior to that Forza 2.

Of course I haven't been on X-Box Live for over two weeks now because my stupid NetGear router is screwing up.

I'll do that once I get a job (that way I can just buy a year of Live or whatever when my free month (a month I think?) runs out instead of it running out and then not hooking it back up for a few months or whatever.
