Need opinions on car covers please.

I am trying to find a good all weather car cover for my Charger, I bought one when I moved to Arizona that was supposed to be good all weather cover, it didn't quite make the grade after 3 years its junk, I don't have a garage so the car sits outside year round, it see's heavy rains during monsoon, high winds, and blistering heat during the summer, I have looked on line but was just curious what you all use to cover your Baby's, any help is appreciated, Thanks.

My Z28 sets outside all year and I've had good results with the "Noah" fabric. They're great for the first two years! Pretty good the 3rd year, and by the 4th year you'll want to replace it, if you have really nice paint.    Even if you replaced it every other year thats only 80 dollars per year for good protection.     They cost around $160.00 (that includes shipping and handling).

Additional info: "Summit Racing" is good to buy from. The brand is "Wolf Automotive".

I agree that car covers need to be replaced every few years...four years is pushing it.  And for what they do $80/yr is a bargain.

Try California car covers, I have an indoor cover that I am very happy with. Dont know much about there outdoor covers but they should have something that works for you.

I recently received fabric samples from Cal Car Cover. Their Noah line seems to be a good combo of indoor/outdoor. I liked their Dustop sample for indoor use, but they don't recommend it for outdoor.
I have an old Covercraft one on my '68, it really needs to be replaced now. There's a newer Covercraft cover on my '69, which is a completely different material than the older one. It's thinner, stiffer, and the inside is a different texture than the outside. It's recommended for indoor/outdoor.
I will probably buy a Dustop cover for the other car, so I'll have one of each. I can bring the Covercraft if I'm ever out of town at a show or something in case it rains. All my cars are stored indoors.

I agree. I've had a Noah cover for years for my Vette. The car's indoors all the time, but covered. I've had a lot of covers over the years and none have held up like the Noah.

i concider myself a car cover expert. i have 6 car outside with Noah covers on them now . I've had at least 4 cars outside for the last 20 yrs . snow , rain and sun Noah is the way to go for outside . California car cover company makes a good cover but they are the most expensive about $250 . wolf and covercraft  makes a great cover too there about $150 for the same cover as California car cover. order it through summit racing and you get free shipping  . my wolf cover on my superbee fits the best out of all my covers . i get about five or six years out of a cover . you can keep them for a little longer by fixing the rips when they get old . i got the Noah cover for my charger for $130 off of ebay . if you buy a cheap cover , they suck and only last about a year . hope this helps . I also have a Wolf from Summit, but use is indoors. It seems to be a good cover, thick & soft. I wouldn't buy a cheap cover, it's your baby it'll be protecting.

Martian, you may want to purchase a cable and lock for your new cover. I think they run around 10 dollars, and will help keep your cover fitting snug on your car.   The cable may be a little longer than necessary as purchased, but a knot tied on the opposite end at the right spot will take care of that.

Received my new cover yesterday, haven't had time to mess with it, its dark by the time I get home, so I am going to clean the car off good and put on the cover this weekend, I have been using a 3/8" rope ratcheting tie down to hold my old cover on, it works really well, it has the hooks on both ends and the are the perfect size for the grommets so they don't slop around, plus I can adjust it so it fits perfect, the cover looks really nice, I hope it fits as nice, the Noah has an interesting look to it, I hope it does the job, monsoon this year will tell, Thanks for all the help.

California Car covers  are great covers . they are the only ones that i could find to make me a cover for my daytona or 39 hotrod. for the charger,  wolf covers are $120 cheaper and it's the same cover. Rene

Well was finally able to mess with the Charger in between running my Daughter around the yard on her bike, she is trying to ride her bike without training wheels, I bought a buddy bar it really helps to hold on to the bike, instead of trying to hold on to her, that way she doesn't know when I have let go, she is doing great, great investment to help her along, but I put on the cover and it fits Awesome, it is the best fitting cover I have seen, they did their homework on the fit for the Charger, I love it thanks for all the input, I am very happy with the cover, plus a side note the cover is made in the USA, plus it turned out that it was made in Logan Utah, which is about 20 miles from where I used to live, very cool, Thanks again.

She is doing Awesome, another weekend and I think she will be going solo, she likes leaning to one side and it keeps knocking her off balance, so there is still work to do, but she really enjoys not having the training wheels, I think it helped that she got to take them off herself, she is pretty good at running a ratchet, maybe a father daughter project in the future??
