Street racing almost claims another

Well the bad effects of street racing almost claimed a family member yesterday. My cousin was driving through Kelowna on his way to Cache Creek. The teens in suped up ricers were racing through the streets... on of the cars rammed the back of my cousin's '92 Camperized van at an estimated speed of about 120kmh! The van jumped forward and then immediatlly turned to towards the center of the highway and slammed into the concrete dividers. After hitting those the van rolled once and slid down the road on it's side.

My cousin is ok. He walked away and his neck is in a brace because of whiplash. He's also doped up on pain killers so it looks like I'll be looking after his bar while he recouperates.

No word on the kid who hit him though!

Idiots. It's not nice of me to say this but I kind of hope the gene pool purified itself a little at that little fart's expense.

Hope your cousin feels better soon Drache. Does he own a bar in Cache Creek? I've been through there afew times myself. I was driving at a decent speed, but got passed many times like I was standing still! I love many parts of Canada, next to Washington state, it would be my next fav. place to live.

Hope he gets to feeling better. He should probably also get a lawyer.    Most insurance companys now wont pay a thing if they have the slightest bit of info that a street race was going on.  We had a similair situation happen here but the guy slid a Camaro across the street taking out a light pole and then on thru an intersection hitting some cars parked that were for sale at my buddys little used car place. Then on into the concrete wall of his office.

Last Thursday night there were some dumna$$ kids drag racing on the Lowell connector here in Mass- one lost it, and went over the median at about 90 mph, and took out an 8-months pregnant Mom-to-be. Articles attached.

We had a street racing accident here on Saturday.  One of the driver's lost control hitting a ditch and was killed.  His passenger is in critical condition.

While I was in the Marine Corps Reserve(in the late 90's),  I was t-boned by some kids street racing.   I pulled into an intersection on my green light.  They ran it.  One freak hit my passenger door going over 60 mph.   My hard head busted the drivers window out.  The car was totalled.   The ricer punk then crashed again into a fence then stopped into a tree.   I had a good bump on my head.  A few scratches.  some blood...

Here is the good part.   Insurance paid for the damage.  One of the Marine reservists was a cop.  He saw it.  A patrol sergeant saw the wreck from my left at the intersection.   The driver got a citiation.

You ready, It seems the moron riceballer was wanted by the law, too.   He was taken to jail for unpaid traffic warrants...

I see how funny it is, now...

Don't streetrace.  Burnouts on Brice Road are okay, but no streetracing!!
