What's it worth--'69 Charger R/T

Painted once.  Around 88,000 miles, original drivetrain.  Looks like a fire or something near the wiper motor, which has some wire nuts near it, the positive battery cable has one of those POS bolt on terminals, the orange overspray on the carb. and linkage suggests a rattle can rebuild, and the seat belts are wrong.  Looks like those are new seat covers on old foam.  That's all I can see from the pics.  I can't say column shift is desirable, and all I can say about the color is it's not F3, F5, or F8 green, but it is a rust free R/T.  So, what are your opinions on value in today's market?  Hope prices come down to a comparatively acceptable level.

Looks nice-I'd say in the mid $30s since it is an R/T and is pretty much all there and stock. Plus being rust free makes everything else cosmetic.  :Twocents:

Heck, with that interior, you could always paint it orange and make it into a GL   :rotz:

it's worth $100 and i'll take it  :2thumbs:

on a serious note, it's a good looking driver, and rust free is a plus, doesn't look highly optioned...the second gen guys will hit it real close but i'm thinking somewhere between 25 and 30 grand?

Matthan

The Best way to see what it is worth is to place it on Ebay. Because it is only worth what people are willing to pay for it. But your ride is NiCE and would bring some totally sweet jack!!!!!!

Ghoste

I think he's looking at buying not selling actually.  (which doesn't detract from your opinion in any way of course)

that's the color combo mine was originally,.. 'cept the interior of course..

I think you're right.  the trunk pan wouldnt be pitted that much and still have paint on it.

I'm gonna say $25~30 also.   :Twocents:

This car is on the Seattle Craigslist and hasn't sold in several weeks at $22.7K, guess it is reflective of the bad economy.

If it's an original NW car my bet is the trunk rust is due to the rear window rust.  The only rust that was on my last Charger and I'd say the same with this car.  The vinyl top might be detrimental but that's it.

Best kept secret is most of our cars up here are just as nice as the SW rides albeit the sun baked interiors.

For $22,7, I'd think Travis or Jude would be all over this.  :shruggy:

I know what you mean about the rust.  There's paint on the trunk plugs, too.  By rust free, I mean no holes or exfoliation like this:

The body plugs are painted.A trunk pan repair is pretty much a common thing anyway.Just requires a little closer inspection.
Great color combo IMO.

Wow, I guess R/T prices have shot down quite a bit. Don't remember seeing any complete cars below $40K let alone any even close to the $20K range.

Here's another decent one for $30K

Probably 20 something.  Those $30,000.00 days are long gone. To get that kinda of money it has to be completely done top to bottom and with the right color/options.  I paid 30,000 for mine 1 1/2 years ago, have 40,000 + in it total and I bet I couldn't get the same 30 back on ebay today.  Good news is I don't care.  A main part of the reason people like me were spending so much is we were getting 2nd mortgages.  Not only is the economy tanked, try using your home value today for an excuse, then ask a bank to borrow money so you can buy a hobby car.  Yeah right.  Wait, banks don'r have any money either.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.
