The price they ask is just hot air.  No need to pay any attention unless they actually get it.

I go by that place almost monthly on my way to Michgan (you can see it from I-55) - and they have a whole lot full of rusting piles just like that.  Nothing ever seems to leave either...   :scratchchin:

Got pics of that nice driver 383, 4 spd car???

skip68

I think it's still in the for sale section.  The car belongs to CB. He is in Belgium but the car is in my garage.  :icon_smile_big:  He had it for sale and I think he will still sell it for the right price.

Figured you guys would get a kick out of seeing the Corporate World Headquarters of daves-classic-cars.com

While my little camera did an OK job, these pics were snapped while clipping along at 72-73mph so I apologize for the graininess (plus I forgot to have the camera ready when I was in the northbound lanes).

hemigeno

Two more, which give a better look at the "fine" examples of musclecars they have on the lot

I live about 3 minutes away from Dave's. I bought my complete 68 Coronet RT from him back in 2005 fro about $2000 I think it was. Alot of his stuff is very high priced. That Charger has sat on that lot now for 2 years. He has a 70 Road Runner, Lime Green, 383, air grabber car listed for $13,000. Great guy. He will never candy coat anything. The cars are what they are. He doesnt hide anything but way off and way high on prices. If someone has to have a car, he finances them and they take the cars at his prices.

mauve66

you got a COMPLETE 68 R/T for $2K and he wants $20K for the other one without all its parts??? you got a heck of a deal from him then

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Prices are way out of line!

Have you guys ever called Mopar-City for a price on ANYTHING?  You'll be just as shocked!
My name is Mike and I'm a Moparholic!

green69rt

$20k and advertised as good shape!!  On what planet??  Maybe $10k, if the floors and frames are good but I would have to look at it very carefully to offer that much.  On second thought $10K would still be too much, let's try $8k.

ACUDANUT

We have members here who have finished complete 68-70 Chargers for 14K.  I would not give that joker 2,000.

When I see outrages prices like this all I can say is Thank You Speed Channel for airing the Barret Jackson auctions.  :RantExplode:These guys set around and watch these fully restored and sometimes ultra rare cars sell for $75,000 - 250,000 or more and it makes them think my old car is worth at least $20,000. All this does is keep a good car from being restored until it's to late and then all you have left is a few parts. :flame: I've seen it happen in my own area people don't realize how much money, time, and effort those guys have in them cars. And don't even get me started on eBay. People will bid a rust bucket up to twice what it's worth but a guy with a good car can't even get his money back on what it cost him to restore it. In my opinion it's this country's "Want It Now" attitude no one can wait for anything and there always looking for a good deal (cheap price) and the truth is they wouldn't know a good deal if it bit them in the back side. So many people buy a car that needs more work then they can do or handle just because they can afford it now instead of saving there money and buying something they can enjoy. :soapbox: Well that's more then I've said in a long time so I'll get of this soap box so someone else can stand on it for a while. Thanks for listening   ;D

I agree, but I wanted to build my charger it was just a little more than I could handle at the age of 16 so I saved more cash and had the metal work done by a pro!! My only hold up now is work hours are short and college is expensive!! It is all in what you want. Yeah sometimes I wish I would have saved more money and just bought one that was done already, but where is the fun in that. Besides when I was looking a complete car done was so outlandish I couldn't even touch one not to mention scammers!!!
