1973 Dodge Challenger Rallye - 340 / A-518 / 3.23 Sure Grip

Nope, not at all.  Does it matter that the Chinese are now taking advantage of as much foreclosed property as they can in the US and buying up homes that once belonged to employed Americans?

Just my opinion.

Ummmm     not to start a heated debate but IMO the reason why the US is in this position is because of lackluster manufacturing and products. Example - my 88 toyota truck (RIP) was engineered extremely better than the family's 91 GMC Suburban...

Suburban went through 2 transmissions, and engine rebuild, 9 brake master cylinders, body cancer due to A/C system condensation in roof, A/C compressor froze, Fuel Pump went out twice, radiator developed a leak, went through 2 alternators, went through 3 starters...    we finally sold the POS with 64,000miles on it....

Toyota truck....     changed the fluids...    did usual maintenance...   alternator went out about 900 miles before the truck died...   (at 254,000 miles) - PS it died because of an accident - not because of craftsmanship.

The US is just lazy - plain and simple....     I would much rather buy a foreign part...     buy a part from a US company and it is made in China...    Buy a Japanese part and it is likely made in the USA...     it is a strange world we live in.   :yesnod:

And to answer the original question - I believe Hays and McLeod are based in the US for production

that's what i like about this website, everyone has their opinion and express it.i was looking for a bearing that would last more then 6 months and the last one i bought was 25 years ago from mopar and is still trouble free in my car.  since i am building another car and most parts are made off shore i was asking for your opinions ,thank you for them.however i will always try to buy made in USA if at all possible hoping that in the future your grand kids and mine well have a job here and not in china. :2thumbs:

Rolling_Thunder

understandable -  but yes - just opinions    :2thumbs:

Yes - I'm sure Mopar just re-boxes someone else's part     but I've had good luck with both Hayes and McLeod
