Mine was F8 green with a green vinyl top and dark green interior.  I have pics of a really nice one somewhere but can't find them.  It should look like this minus the R/T badges.  I borrowed this pic from the 69 Registry.

Seriously, why is it that it seems like every other car made by in the late 60s and early 70s was that dark green color?  Was it resembled something they were smoking back then? :brickwall:

Green was one of the first "colors" available after years of only being able to get black. Many people loved green for many years due to that.

Ah see the theory that was always floating around my household growing up was that the reason that green was so popular was because so many Americans were in the military from WWII, Korea, and Vietnam that they were just so used to the olive drab green and stuck to it.

On a serious note though, I think that R4 red was a very popular color on the R/T's and 500's and Daytona's. Even more so than the greens, but for some reason the 3 shades of green (later 4) were also extremely popular.

I agree with Natco, That Charger Is beautiful!!

I don't think there is a bad color for a 2nd generation Charger though,Some just look better than others.

Yes, my Charger is still the original RED.... When I have it repainted however, it will be a deeper shade of red... something more akin to a Candy Apple or a Burgundy Red Metallic.

... and just for the record, I like the Greens and Browns too

Do you know the history on your car?  I always wondered what happened to my original R/T bought in Pasadena, Calif. 2/68.  It was a column shift auto with buckets and buddy seat.  No A/C.  Bob

Mine is still wearing the paint Dear Old Ma Mopar put on him 41 years ago. However if I was to ever repaint it I'd have to say I go back with the same color. It may not be flashy  :coolgleamA: but it suits me just fine  :yesnod:.

My 69 RT/SE is a Y2 Yellow from start(now in primer to 97% and everywhere else allmost GL and Winered) but havent desided for the color yet orignal or Dark burnt Orange... :scratchchin:

My 69 SE was W1 White and then repainted in the eighteis with same(and bad job under), now its White, Black and primerd and orginal, but its go be Black in the end.

My 70 500 is restord to original Dark burnt Orange, was shitbrown when i bought it(a really bad paintjob, but i polished it like hell ;) when it was like that). Im glad they dident destroy the trunk and enginebay with that repaint, so its still orginal in trunk and eningebay :icon_smile_big:
