LED side markers for '69

Looking at the online catalog at Year One & came across these...

Pretty cool idea but expensive at $350 plus you have to paint the housings to match....

Yearone has always been bad with prices. I haven't gotten one of their catalogs because I'm not gonna pay $5 US for one.

Apparently Charger Specialties is making these for Year One but obviously they're cheaper through CS. They list them at $329 with free shipping, so that will save you a few bucks if you really want them.

I made my own on the Daytona.....just cut a little square in the rear of the reflector housing, then glued a section of a side marker housing from a 70's side marker

Lights up just fine....and you can't tell in the daytime

meaning about 69 Daytonas against 70 Chargers

The 69 Daytona's used '70 fenders on the front...but the side marker lights were removed and filled in. The 69 reflectors were installed in the lower valance

And yes...the 68, 69, & 70 Charger fenders were different

Dumb question. If 68's had functional marker lights, why didnt they put them on 69's?

Starting 1968, all cars had to have side markers, so Chrysler thought that they had to be lighted, but in 69, they found a loophole and said they only had to be markers, not lighted (save money I guess). Then in 1970, it was clarified that all cars had to have LIGHTED side markers....

That and the fact that 68's are superior to the 69's
