reference needed

Im looking for original appearence of a superbird nose. if you have pics all the better

Im sure the nose on my bird was replaced pretty early on and Id like to know how it should look.

Thanks a ton. I was told the inside should be painted black but I was unsure. I also Knew I could not trust my car since it was worked on.

anyone else......How about some of those low mileage survivors? how do they look?

When we pulled my then survivor nose off in 1988, it looked much like yours does on the inside.    I do not believe the entire nose is sprayed black on the inside.    Just some gray primer and then residual body color overspray from doing the outside.    Your light buckets and Z-brackets are all semi flat black.

I know I read somewhere.Thought it was on the superbird building story .But somewhere else described how the noses where assembled and how they arrived

 mine was by no means a survior as the body got crushed , but here you go

by looking at the posted pics and reading the chit-chat Im guessing the inside of the cones were not really painted. whatever paint got in there was it.

anyone care to offer up a opinion on what way to procede?

Is there a natural steel color I could paint over some primer to simulate it being unfinished?

Prime the nose shell in and out, and spray body color on the outside.  Whatever color gets in there is fine.

Also the nose and tail were painted with lacquer for quick dry and handling.The insides caught what ever overspray.As I believe Clairpoint shipped it in prime completely assembled to Creative .Then the color overspray got in
