Hell everyone,

I was wondewring if any of you use a kill switch made by MSD that actually hooks up to the 6A or the 6AL. I was just reading about and thought it might be a good idea for my car. Thanks!

What kinda "Kill" switch are you reffeering to?

1. Like they have on Race cars, a Battery disconnet switch

OR..

2. A theft preventive "kill" switch ??

Anyways.

"Kill" switch No. 1.
I use the Moroso bat, disconnet switch ( http://www.moroso.com/catalog/categorydisplay.asp?catcode=42225 ) The switch mounts on the positive battery cable, the switch just cuts al electricity into the car when switched to OFF position.

"Kill" switch No. 2.
Here you have lots of different solutions how to wire and where to mount it. If you use a MSD box you can wire the "kill" switch to the 12v wire named IGN on the Msd box. This IGN. wire you could call a "wake up" wire, the main power to the Msd boxes comes directly from the battery. You could put a hidden switch to this wire, then the engine would crank over, but not start..

I ran a wire from the MSD to under the dash, had a switch there and then back out to the power side. Comes in handy if you don't want to shut the car down but you need your house key or want to get in the trunk. Wired it with the engines harness.
