A few nights ago I was thinking about ways to protect the underframe's of cars, and then I thought " eople use Line-X and other spray on bedliners in their trucks, wouldn't it work on chassis'? Now, I have questioned my thought alot..How thick is a spray on bedliner and what is it's prime weakness..Anyways, let me hear your thoughts..

A buddy of mine owns a bussness like that and has done some 4X4s with it. It runs form 1/6" on up depending on how much you want to put on. At least thats what he tells me. Usually it ends up about 1/4" thick. The biggest problem that I could think of off hand would be. You would want to tape off anywhere the frame and where the body bolt together. That is if we are talking about your Pontiac. Of corse anywhere else that you would have to bolt onto the body underside, like the rear end springs ect. It works as a great sound deadner and comes in colors now. Paint dosent stick to it very well, so I'm told.

A good number of guys have done this. Shakey had a whole thread about using it on the inside of his car. I don't think there are any threads on using it on he bottom of a car.
