Hey guys, im about done gathering parts for my steering column except for one. Im looking for the o ring/seal that goes down by the firewall on the column tube that the exhaust flange looking bracket holds down. Im pretty sure that nobody reproduces it, so I was wondering if anybody had a part number for it so I can atleast track it down through an NOS source or something...thanks

I have never needed to change that part. You are talking about the flange with the 2 bolts - right?

Yes thats the part im talking about. Mine is all rolled over and distorted...It definitely looks like it was taken apart before and when they reinstalled it, it wasnt put in correctly..it may or may not work, but I figure since its apart I might as well try my luck in finding one...

I searched everywhere for one of these and could not find one.  I think it was just an o-ring.  I ended up going to the parts store and they got me an o-ring that will work.  I believe what you have and what I had was just what was left after the o-ring was smashed for 40 years.  If you find something let me know as I am still needing one if they exist.  I called Tom at RT Specialties and he did not have anything.

Good luck on finding the shifter grommet as well.
