Not to be a party pooper but many have tried to run that manifold on the street with limited sucess.  :P

As mentioned previously, the low speed manners are terrible and in reality it doesn't work that well up top either. I've studied some Dyno results for that intake and it has a narrow powerband....not ideal for a street car. On one dyno blast the STR 14 lost 80hp vs a modern single 4bbl setup on back to back pulls.  :icon_smile_blackeye:

Honestly, that thing is a cork when installed on a top of a good set of heads and big cam. It does have some visual appeal if that's what you're after.  :coolgleamA:

Good luck with it.

I still have to give it a shot..I am obsessed.

the guy I am working with is pretty much a super-wizard with this stuff and he did the final tune on my current setup and he tells me he can go all the way with this dual setup. if it doesnt work out, I can always go back to what I have now.

As far as the "factory" part, they were as mentioned made by Edelbrock and Chrysler would assign them a part number so the part could be legalized for NHRA Super Stock racing.  It was a common rule bending procedure for Detroit.
