My vent window weatherstrips look like they are in decent shape, but they have shrunk a little and pulled themselves down in the frames and leave a about a 3/16" gap in the peak at the top. Do any of you know a way to rejuvenate or expand the rubber, or is replacement of the rubber my only option, and if so, how tough of a job is it? If I have to replace the weatherstrips, I guess now is the time to do it since I have the frames out of the doors, and I hope to be reassembling the car in the next few months. Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem with mine.  I think that if you want to do it properly you will have to replace them.  It will eliminate any chances of leaks and wind noise as you drive.

I am not quite at that point yet but will be in the coming months.  Once I do it, I will gladly share my experience and some photos.

In the meantime, hopefully some others will chime in with their experiences.  There may even be a thread already on this but I am unsure as I have yet to search for it.

i used evo stick rubber contact adhesive, let it go tacky after applying it to both sides, cable tie the rubber to the frame and leave for a few days, mine have been stuck fast for a few months now, no probs

encountering the same thing, wasnt sure if the new gasket was worth it for 95 dollars?  is there any adhesive or something else that may cure this?  or is it best to just dish out the 95 dollars.  i keep in the garage but not sure how the wind noise will be ?

I ended up using a pair of old ones that I cleaned up and they look and fit really good.

Not sure about wind noise at this point though as the car has yet to be driven down the road.  Well, I did drive it down the road a bit but there was no windshield so I couldn't really tell if there was wind noise from the vent window gaskets.   :eek2:
