I need the part that is on the bottom of the column tube on the shifter arm bracket. It is a rubber grommet with metal center where the rod hooks up to it. Does anyone make it? Thanks.

Thanks. I checked a ton of web sites and didn't see any. As you can see the hole is elongated some. I figured it would be reproduced by someone by now.

If you can't find one, I'm pretty sure the plastic shifter linkage bushings are direct replacements.
If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is.

To my knowledge nobody makes a replacement and the plastic bushings are a different size.

You can use a standard rubber grommet of the correct size and press in a steel sleeve of the correct diameter and length.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

OK...I went out tonight and dug out my "A" body steering column....in there is a rubber grommet, not plastic, that is in perfect condition....I don't have the metal center, you still want it?

Send me name & mailing info in a PM and I will get it out to you tomorrow.

Not being reproduced and both the insulator and the steel inner sleeve are NS1 from Mopar. I ck'd on these about 2 months ago and several dealers around the country showed them on the locator

I mailed out the rubber grommet to him today...I did not have the steel sleeve insert

I was at the junkyard today and picked up a couple, they appear to be made of bronze. Let me know if you still need them.
