Doing some research for a friend who has this 18-spline "hemi" tranny and would like to get it to the current owner's car if it still exists...
The stamping on the case is 9B368357 ........... Typically, the 69 model year had the complete VIN stamped on the 4-speed case boss, but here it isn't which leads me to believe, along with the high sequence number, it's a late production '69 Charger R/T/Daytona, GTX, Road Runner or Superbee.

I looked for that number in all of the Daytona VIN's I have and its not a Daytona. So that rules that one out. Not sure about the other cars, but just wanted to let you know its not a Daytona.

Cool. I was going to look at my issues of Winged Warriors and see if it cropped up there..........

Troy,

I HAVE THAT VIN IN MY REGISTRY!!

Its for a Charger R/T.   I only have the VIN # because it was an ebay auction back in late April.
I dont have a color listed either because I believe it was in primer and the auction didnt list an original color.....

So close to reuniting....... :(

That is pretty damn cool. This thread should be retitled "why you should register your car"

:iagree:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Thats pretty cool that the car is in the registry. However with it being an ebay add its hard to figure out who the owner is now. Being as it could have been sold in the auction, or could have been pulled and sold locally or nationally.

73rallye440magnum

its still amazing that they have a lead on it.

Tin Soldier,

Can you read the 3 inch tall (roughly) ink stamp on the side of the trans?   Will be 3 digits, usually in blue ink on a '70.
