Tonyparts has them for 90 usd for the pair. It was a 68 only part. Think it will fit 69 also though.
Since we only live once, and all this is not just a dressed rehearsal, but the real thing............ Well, enjoy it!!!!

They will fit although it's morally wrong to put them on a 69.

They sell up to 150.00ish.  I sold a set a while back.  Many 69 owners use them.  Not me.  There are some other threads about them.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

It isn't that it's morally wrong, its just that the 69 front end already looks so good.

Wonder why Ma Mopar dropped them? There's a topic for discussion. Was it to save a few nickels per car? Didn't think it needed it? Thought the 69 front-end was perfect? Why pray tell did they drop it?  :popcrn:

Yup, to save money. They dropped even more standard features in 1970.

Correct, Bull.  That lead to the separate designation XH29 1970 base Charger model being produced that year, even advertised at a new lower price (starting at $3,001.00) than the previous years to drum up sales.  Things like upper door pads became an option on the base models, when they were standard on other Charger models during that year (and previous years).....

As for the 1968 Charger plastic headlight grille surrounds, I picked up a mint pair of them two years ago for $50 at a mopar swap meet, so they are out there if you look hard enough....

I don't know why anyone would put them on a 69. unless you walk around with night vision goggles, who the heck would see them?

TED, was your car an early production?

I have 2 1969 cars, a Oct 68 and Nov 68 production and they don't have them.

Most likely they're just an add-on from a previous owner. I seriously doubt any 69s snuck through with them on, although it's not an impossibility.

:iagree:

I found a set also, about a year ago, at a swap meet for about $45 bucks. All they needed was a cleaning and a repaint. I'm putting them on my '69. I feel it finishes it off and besides, it's a modified car. For 100% stock, leave 'em off.

A34, like Bull stated, they were probably added from a previous owner. The car came with quite a few extra parts when I bought it and one was the bezel so I'm thinking they were added to the car.  I believe I have one extra in the garage if I'm not mistaken.  Ted
