Nothing better than jumping in the car on a rainy day in Feb to go get stuff for the car!  I found 2 used 295/45/18" goodyears on the bag and got them for 105 bucks.  These are @300 each new, and I'm not 100% sure I will love this new tire/wheel combo so I figured grab some used ones to see If I like them.

Went from Long Island to Staten Island to pick them up to save the 60 bucks shipping.  @1.5 hours each way. I was a little giddy driving there.  I love buying stuff for the car.  kind of like women and shoeshopping i suppose.

This thrill is 2nd only to hitting refresh every 30 seconds so you can win your items on ebay by bidding with 5 seconds left.

Last winter I took the wife and kids on a 200-mile round trip adventure to get a pair of 15X8 Magnum 500s with BFG T/As during the worst weather day of 2007 in western Oregon. We got in, got the wheels, had dinner and got out just before the sideways rain and howling wind flooded half the town we had visited. Let me tell you, these "adventures" are a lot less harrowing when the weather is nice.

I was on Hylan blvd, @6 miles from the Verrazano.  I have been across SI hundreds of times going to see my dad who lives in princeton, NJ...but this is the first time I have ever ventured off of 440 (best road name in the world) or 278 or whatever the hell they call it near the bridge.....It was a biblical experience
