Anyone know which brand was supposed to get the "Statutory Grape" name before it was deemed inappropriate by the powers that be at Chrysler?
Seems like it was Plymouth.

I remember those were the same pictures that were used when the Joe Dirt Daytona was on Ebay years ago.
If I remember correctly it sold for 14 grand and I kicked myself for not buying it

For some reason I had always thought that "Statuatory Grape" was just a nickname the assembly line guys used in the plants?

Possibly, but I read many years ago that it was one of the original suggestions for color names. I can see where that one lost out. There were other names thrown out as well.
Dind't Ford have the color "Anti-Establish Mint Green" ?
Anyone remember any other cool color names?
