Spool rear for the street????

I have a prostreet project 440 4 speed it has 31x18.5x 15 tires I just bought a 456 Richmond set up with a spool. Is this a streetable setup?? I do not plan on doing any racing, just cruise-ins and shows a few times a year. Any expert help please. Thanks, Rick

 would be better selling it to a racer & just get a normal  sure grip for the street ...  as on a spool both  wheels turn the same speed all the time no mater what , ok for 1/4 mile stuff ..but going around a corner is a no no , more like turn the wheel & hop

You "can" but its either limited turning and hop around corner or drifting every corner.

Sell it to a racer and get a sure grip unit

I have never driven or rode in a prostreet car just always wanted one. I thought with a narrowed rear and the wide tires going around sharp corners would kind of give you the same chug around them. Yes?? No??  Thanks, RB

Sell the spool to some one who needs it. You ll just be miserable if you use it on your own ride...
I built my ride for the strip and even I dont use a spool, a sure grip is so much easier to live with...

I don't think they should even be legal for the street myself and with the monster tires they typically run on a Pro Street car they're likely even more dangerous.  I know guys do it but not for me.  I've driven a couple of street cars with them and that was all it took to for me to make up my mind.

Don't run the spool on the street. I don't think it's legal, but more importantly, I think it's dangerous.

It ran spool, and slicks @ 9 psi, and I drove it on the street. Wasn't a real smart idea. DON'T do it !
