Does anyone here have or know of anyone who has a 68 'bengal' charger, i heard there wasn't but 30 or so made, I would like to see some pics of a survivor (if there is one)

yeah for some reason i've always been facinated with the bengal charger, if I every get a 68 I would like to do that paint scheme on it. thanks for the pics. i think only a very few are accounted for, but if they have been repainted, parted out, etc. They would probably be impossible as tracing them back to see if they were legit, I wonder if the fender tags would show the special order paint and the added stripe (especially on non RT) cars. I also wondering if they are still some lurking around cincy and surrounding cities. I would love to have one even if it was just a 318 or /6.

If you read the other thread (see the second post above) you'll see that the stripes were not listed on the build sheet but included in the special order package. I would have to dig around some more to see what the actual paint code was on the fender tag.

As per Troy's info posted on the other thread: "The chrome "BENGAL Charger" fender badges were made in Cincinnati and were mounted on the cars when they arrived at the dealership."

If the fender badge is still on the car you could tell right off if it was legit.
