It is nice to see a properly done clone, that's for sure, but I've been into Mopars a long time, worked as a bodyman, apprenticed as a mechanic, restored cars and been in business for almost 20 years. I don't understand how you could spend that much any car, let alone a Wing car when I know someone who built and painted a Daytona clone for just over $16,000 including the price of the 70 Charger to do it, and secondly, why anyone would spend that much on a car that's worth $30K(?).  :shruggy:

Yea..nice car...I did notice kick panel missing.....did he do the rear window plug? I couldn't tell

Nevermind...I re-read his post in the auction.....he does need to get "spell check" though  :D

Wow that is a nice build for a clone, but I agree why?
I will say though, and maybe it's the cloudy day but that looks a little dark for B5 blue.
I thought I was looking at a pic of my car for a minute! even the description of only the trunk floor replaced etc.. matches. My blue is also a litle darker than it should be as well and my car is not in nearly as nice a shape.

Thanks BBSam,
Its a nice 10 footer, just don't look to close.
The upside of that is that I have a real Superbird that I'm not afraid to drive the wheels off of, or get any rock chips on.
If you ever see this car on a trailer it's being stolen (or just broke down again!)

it's look better with a new electrical system  :nana:

Why buy new stuff, when I have the entire board here and DSAC that come to my rescue each year when my car pukes on the side of the road?
 :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
The spell is broken though. I drove all the way to St Louis and back to MMW last fall without anything but a couple of stops for gas! No additional parts, fluids, duct tape, or issues, and my headlights worked!

you can easily spend 150K on a clone project if you start with a really nice car, then drop it off at a restoration shop...  and have the shop buy and install everything...    shops sometimes charge marked-up prices for parts and then charge a crap ton of labor..
