yea it is now, the cops knew i was the victim. i guess i really just wanted a powerful muscle car, never a chevy or ford. But every where i go people want to see me smoke the tires hahah, but i cant. I have 295/50 rear and non posi with a 318. Just wish my car could at least erch the tires  :rotz: Looks good and sounds mean but it bark is no where near its bite.

I say keep it.

You can easily find a running 440 and probably a tranny with it for next to nothing. Clean it up a bit and throw that sucker in.

So take the 295's off, put some 195's on, install a small pump/bottle with some bleach and you'll do smoke shows that no one can match  :icon_smile_big:

440charger68

hahah i was thinking about that actually, maybe not the bottles but for sure some smaller tires with the dog dishes

You can also hop up that 318 quite a bit...Small blocks can be fiesty little buggers...Lower gears in the rearend will give you some snap too...

I'm a Charger fan. What else can you say other than I like your Charger.   :Twocents:

skip68

:rotz:  I fixed what I said.   I grew up in that area and know of a few cars around there that's why I asked.  I'm guessing you went to Oak Ridge ?    :2thumbs:    I was wondering if the car was a local car?

No, I'm in Las Vegas now.  There is a guy that has a 68 4spd General Lee up the hill.  There is a few 68's around there but not on the road.  There is 2 in Rescue.   Go with your heart on the trade.     Chuck.........

It's a Charger Forum, opinions will most definitely be bias.

Your Charger is a daily driver so having the 318 one legged is your best option (maintenance, MPG).  Now if you want the HP and a weekend warrior I say jump on the Coronet.

Value wise 318 in both cars the Charger wins.  It sounds like the Coronet's had some work done, w/o pix it's hard to say but I'd say it sounds like an even swap.  :shruggy:

My first car was a /6 Camaro and my first Mope was a '68 Coronet R/T so maybe I'm the bias one.  :icon_smile_wink:

MoparSam

'68 and a Charger!  Come on stick with the Charger.  Besides, you don't have to have a 440 or a 426 to cruise around and burn a little rubber.  I've read in Mopar Muscle Mag a few months ago about a 383 build that is almost as stout as a stock 440.  Most people have one sitting in the floor of their garages taking up space and want to get rid of them.  Even a 318 build is cool and as I read on here from 472 R/T SE, you can't beat the maintenance or the MPG.  April's Mopar Muscle Mag has the info on a mostly stock 318 that was rebuilt for around $1700 (not much of a labor fee on it though).  I've got a buddy that rebuilt the 318 in his Dart and it sounds goood with a lopey cam and the pipes turned down to the pavement!

Do what makes ya happy and good luck with your decision!

I would also say keep your Charger/first car.  Here's a thought, go join a Coronet site site and ask the members there the same question.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.
