Went to my paint supplier last week to restock on some items and asked for liquid ebony as I was getting low.  He says the guy that was selling that stuff died and took the recipe to the grave.
Anyone know where I can stilll get this or a similiar product that works as well.????

Wow, I haven't heard that name since the last time I used "red lead".

Try 3M's foam pad glaze with a flat foam pad, NOT the waffle pads. Blows away any result you'd get from Liquid Ebony.

Why not the Waffle Pad? LEON.

Maybe it's just personal preference. I seem to get better results and less swirls by using a flat pad vs a waffle pad. Right now my favorite is a blue Norton flat foam pad with the velcro backing.

Its a polish, what you would use to remove the swirl marks from your rubbing compound. We use to use it in school (1986-87) worked great on laquer I never used on modern paint systems so not sure how it worked now.

Thanks Mopar_Madman, I'd like to give it a shot on my black Hemi Ram pick-up if I can find it.

Thanks again...

Thats actually around the time I purchased the 6 quartz I had and just now down to the final quart.  An I did used it mostly for laquers. Now I actually use it more as an ingredient to my custom special secret finishing polish.  :D

I've been on this site for over a year and can honestly say these guys are awesome!!!  Len, owner, is unbelievable with his knowledge and help that he brings to anyone on his forum.  They have a political section to the forum that I like to bash heads with some of the guys.  It's all in fun.
