Hahaha    Sorry guys - I just have to laugh at that engine bay...       Classic Auto Air mechanical A/C system...     hoses all over the place and running over the engine  :slap:, crappy looking grommets as firewall pass throughs, nothing powder coated or polished on the engine, Crappy looking wiper motor, hood wiring wrapped in tape..    Dont get me wrong it is a nice looking car and i'm sure performs well...    but for what XV charged for their cars I would expect more.    :Twocents:

I like the '68. but I do not care for them choosing grey for the color of the interior.  :eek2:

Grey interiors to me are associated with "cheaply made" interiors of every car and truck made in the past 20 years. The generic color of all interiors :P :rotz:

Nice... but I have yet to see any of their cars actually "DO" anything. There are no performance #'s posted, no acceleration or skidpad #'s, no slalom, braking... nothing. Show me some statistics and actual data and I'll start to buy into the hype.

And oh yea... I'm still waiting for the engine brace I ordered from them 2 years ago... nice right.

i remember a thread a few years back when someone couldn't understand why they wouldn't build a new cuda. remember? i think it was with the gov safety regs, and milage things, etc. i mean, one that would match the old ones. this looks like what whoever wrote the post was wanting. ya, i like the old stuff, and would rather have them, but, this is what i would think a new one would look like. i would rather have one of these than the stuff i see coming into the shop every day. i guess this is the only way to get what you want. in my eyes, not such a bad choice. at least you dont lose 4 grand as soon as it leaves the lot.

However Car and Driver tested the XV Challenger and it had less than stellar numbers...    
The Challenger had the enhanced 5,7L hemi and a 5-speed    443hp

Price: $176,000

Interesting Fact - 1985 Camaro IROC could do .92G on a Skidpad   :rofl:


I got quoted over $200,000 to do my Charger with the Level II stuff, a 6.1L Hemi, 5-speed, and all that...       totally not worth it in my book...     I'm looking to outperform the XV cars when all is said and done for less than $25,000    :2thumbs:

I agree totatlly. There have been numerous magazine autocross challenges in CAR CRAFT & HOTROD that they could have entered their cars in to showcase their products performance....something seems odd about that especially for the high end prices that they charge.

I like most everything about that red 68 Charger except the interior... :eek2:

I like the car a lot, but not a big fan of the color choices. I have all their Level II suspention and brake stuff for my 68, together with subframe connectors, lower rad support and inner fender bracing.Personally i would like it lower, but the wheel combination is awesome IMO :2thumbs:

About # i agree that it would be nice to see some hard facts on "before/ level I / level II" testing.

There is a guy here in Norway, with a Cuda, that lives close to a road course. He has good referances on his laptimes with "stock" suspention, and over the winter he installed the level II rear suspention, so i am looking forward to hear the difference!! He has now also ordered the level II front suspention, that will go in next winter, so i guess we will get some numbers in the future, with good "apple to apple" comparizing  :2thumbs:

Mine will not be driven on a roadcourse before done, and will have a different engine/trans/rearend than now also. :D

Since we only live once, and all this is not just a dressed rehearsal, but the real thing............ Well, enjoy it!!!!
