I have a buddy who called me with an interesting issue I have not run into before and was wondering if anybody can provide any additional feedback on this.

He has a 360 with a better than stock cam and 10.5 compression. Holley 780 and a high rise. I had tuned this up for him a few months ago and it was running perfectly.

Now, he does not seem to have any spark on cylinders 4 , 6 and 8. He has been troubleshooting this for a week and has replaced the distributor, ECM, coil, cap, rotor and added new wires. Still no spark on those 3 cylinders. I have never heard of anything like this.

Any ideas?

I am not sure what plugs he is running. I had also asked if he had tried another set. He has moves his plugs around to different holes after dryin gthem off and they do work on any of the other cylinders. He is not getting a pulse on his wires though. If he hooks a timing light up to each of those cylinders he gets nothing. What would you recommend for plugs? I have always had good luck with NGK.

the problem should have been resolved by now...              everything has been replaced...   it can be the cap, rotor, wires, plugs               If he is getting nothing from the timing light in those holes I dont know what it could be.

I am suspecting plugs. I asked him to pick up a new set and throw them in. They are the only thing that I can see it being as all other components are new.

Thanks guys!
