Number 1 should be marked on the cap. Then go counter-clockwise in the order toqwik gave you.

do go from the cap , it is generally wrong , pull #1 plug & bump the engine over until you feel compression with your finger over the hole then look to see which tower on the cap the rotor is pointed to
