Exhaust fit with four link?

Has anyone ever managed to fit a 3" pipe through/around a four link rear?
Or even seen such a setup for that matter...
I'm in doubt that it can be done without a ton of fabrication but Id prefer to have the pipes routed all the way to the back.
However if that just isn't an option, what are the pros and cons to turn-downs and side exhaust?
